Here’s a fun little rattle for baby cards and decorating baby gifts. It would be great for scrapbooks or baby’s memory book, too. And if you’re not needing anything for a baby right now, turn it on its side, and it becomes a topiary! At least that what it looks like to me.
I used Lizbeth Orange Crush, Color 183 in size 40. Finished size with size 40 thread is approximately 2 x 4.25 inches (7 x 10 cm).

You will need:
Thread in your choice of color and size.
1 tatting shuttle or tatting needles
Approximately 8 inches (24 cm) of 1/8 inch wide ribbon

Handle:
R: 3ds j to last p of previous R, 2ds j to first p of first R, 3ds p 4ds p 4ds, close, turn

R: 4ds j to last p of previous R, (4ds p) 2 times, 4ds close, turn**
Repeat between ** until six rings have been completed.
