Bruce’s Tatted Doily row 1

Bruce’s Tatted Doily row 1

I don’t normally do a doily pattern so soon after finishing one, but my husband, Bruce, told me he had a design for one in his mind. He wanted me to use it as my next free doily pattern. I was intrigued, and I just couldn’t resist, so here is the first row. Bruce also wanted me to tell you that for this doily, you can repeat the motifs within this row as many times as you want, and you can make it rectangular or square.

I have no idea what the rest of this is going to look like, but I’m really looking forward to see how it develops!

This is a beginner pattern, at least so far. I have no guarantee that this design won’t get more complicated. This row is about 3 inches (8 cm) square when done with size 20 thread.

I used Lizbeth Autumn Spice, Color 136 in size 20.
