Tatted Gift Box

Tatted Gift Box

Actually, any square motif will work for this idea, and if you know how to make split rings, this pattern would work up without all the cutting and tying.

Also, I wove the first ribbon through the motif and decided I would have preferred to have just wrapped it around the box. I left it as is so you can see it both ways and decide what you’d rather do.

This design is beginner level and uses one shuttle. I used size 20 Flora thread in Dark Purple.

Attach ribbon either by sewing them on or gluing them on. I used hot glue. Wrap ribbon around the middle of the motif both ways, attaching at the back of the work. Tie a small box and attach to the top of the motif.
