Tatted Earrings

Tatted Earrings

This month I wanted a design that was quick and fun. I always love earrings, so that’s what I decided on. It was fun rummaging through my beads to find just the right one for this pattern.

This design is really quick, too! Once I had it figured out, I was able to put it together in just a few minutes.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I have!

This is a beginner pattern and requires one shuttle. I used Lizbeth black size 40 thread.

Instructions:

Don’t wind your shuttle yet. Add a large bead onto your thread, then add a seed bead. Next thread the thread back through the large bead in the opposite direction as you originally threaded it. Pull about half a yard (0.5 M) of thread through the beads and tie it to the shuttle. Begin your stitching up against the decorative bead.

Cut and tie to the same small picot that you joined to.

Using some small pliers, pry open the ring on the finding and thread the tatting onto it. Pinch the ring shut.

Repeat for the second earring.
