Clover Drop Heart

Clover Drop Heart

I was thinking about the tatting patterns I’ve done in the past, and realized that most everything was based on tatting in a circle or an oval. So I thought I’d try my hand at designing something different–at least different for me. So I sat down and doodled a while until I came up with a design for a heart that I liked. Funny thing is, the resulting heart ended up being nothing like my doodle.

At any rate, I hope you enjoy this month’s design–a heart-shaped design using clover leafs.

This is a beginner-level 2-shuttle pattern using simple rings and chains. It was tatted using size 20 thread.
