Bruce Tatted Doily final row

Here’s the final installment of Bruce’s doily!

Do you get impatient when you get to the final row of a doily? I do! I’m excited to be nearing the finish line, but it takes so long to stitch that last row. I hope you enjoy this doily as much as I have.

I used Lizbeth Autumn Spice, Color 136 in size 20.

You will need:

Thread in your choice of color and size.
1 tatting shuttle or tatting needles

dsdouble stitch
ppicot

Instructions:

Stitch this ring between the clover leaf motifs of the previous row
R: (2ds p) 3 times, 2ds j to center p of the first R in one of the clover leaf motifs on previous row, (2ds p) 3 times, 2ds, j to center p of the third ring of the next clover leaf motif, (2ds p) 3 times, 2ds, close, turn

Stitch a chain. Each chain has 2ds between the picots. Stitch 17 picots on chains that arc over the first and last clover leaf motifs of each side, and over the corner clover leaf motif. All other chains have 15 picots.

Stitch rings between clover leaf motifs and chains that arc over the clover leaf motifs around the entire doily. Finish with a chain, then cut and tie.
