I had a request for a Christmas pattern a little earlier this year, so here it is! I intended to tat a longer demo of this, but I made a mistake again. I have such a hard time with edgings for some reason.
This edging actually has a bit of curve to it, so if you want it to be straight, you can add a couple more picots to the chains that connect to the clover leaf.
This is an experienced beginner to intermediate pattern and requires two shuttles.
I used Lizbeth size 20 thread color white.

Shuttle 1: R: 3ds p (1ds p) 4 times, 3ds, close, do not turn
Leaf:
Start this next chain about one stitch width away from the ring. This allows space to tie the end of the holly leaf in place.
Wind shuttle 1 thread around hand: Ch: 9ds, do not turn
Shuttle 1: R: (3ds p) 5 times, 3ds, close, do not turn
Wind shuttle 1 thread around hand: Ch: 9ds p 3ds j to previous p, 9ds, do not turn
Shuttle 1: R: 3ds p 3ds j to 4th p of previous R, (3ds p) 3 times, 3ds, close, do not turn
Wind shuttle 1 thread around hand: Ch: 9ds p 3ds j to previous p, 9ds, do not turn
Shuttle 1: R: 3ds p 3ds j to 4th p of previous R, (3ds p) 3 times, 3ds, close, do not turn

Wind shuttle 2 thread around hand: Ch: 3ds j to last p of previous Ch, (2ds p) 5 times, 5ds, turn
Repeat, joining holly leaves at the first point.
