Crochet christening dress

I crocheted this baby’s christening dress while I watched the 2004 Olympics. I have such a hard time just sitting to watch TV–gotta have something in my hands!

This pattern was an old one that a friend had given me. It also had a bonnet and booties, but I ran out of steam before I got those started. It was enough to do the dress, especially after weaving in all that ribbon and sewing on all those little ribbon flowers along the hem and the waistline.

This is another fair entry that surprised me. Crochet is a very competitive category in our fair, so I didn’t expect anything. I was very happy to come away with the champion ribbon in the crochet class!
